Tropwind General Manager Fehmi Farra attends the "2007 World Conference" organized by Heat Trace Limited in Tuscany Italy, the conference was an opportunity to get an update about the latest innovations in the Trace Heating industry in which Heat Trace Limited is the world leader when it comes to R&D and new products development, the conference was also a great opportunity to meet key HT personnel as well as exchanging market experience with other Heat Trace distributors from around the world, all surrounded by the lovely Tuscany scenery and the hospitality of Heat Trace & its Italian Partner Luigi Pucci. Another part of the Italian visit was meeting with Monge & C. based near Turin, discussions about future cooperation as well as a factory tour took place as this could be a whole new line of business for Tropwind, more news about the same to follow soon.

Following the Italy trip, Fehmi joined Tropwind directors, Sahar & Gerry Pridham in Fuerteventura, Spain for the company's Annual General Meeting, discussing performance, strategy and plans for the coming period.

New business. Tropwind's Director Sahar completes the first overseas property deal on behalf of six UK investors after husband Gerry conducts a due diligence investment appraisal. 20 apartments bought in Fuerteventura, Canary Isles with "no money down".

Tropwind celebrates the engagement of Engineer Tamador Dais to Hussein, Tamador's engagement party took place on the 19th of January 2007.

Tropwind's principals, The Saudi Shoes Company Ltd. in order to outline the company's continuous development and to reflect the companys diversity of products changes its name to be "Saudi Leather Industries Company Ltd." as of 1st January 2007.

Tropwind family welcomes young Miss Maria Harris to this world, Maria new born Baby girl of Tropwind's Engineer Mohammed & Loujain Harris was born on the 18th of October 2006.

September 2006

Tropwind's Senior Sales Engineer Mohammed Harris participated in two weeks of training school held in FMC Measurement Solutions (Smith Meter)'s factory in Ellerbek, Germany. Gas measurement training was focused on the traditional gas metering products on top of the latest developments in the field of Ultrasonic Gas metering which is now the latest measurement technology in the Gas industry especially with accuracy up to 0.25%.

Liquid measurement training focused mainly on more hands-on experience especially in the maintenance of PD meters and associated products.

Engineer Ayman Masri joins Tropwind's team as "Sales Engineer", Ayman joins Tropwind after returning from his previous job in the US and is bringing to the company years of experience and knowledge in various fields.

Engineer Tamador Dais joins Tropwind's team as "Sales Engineer", Tamador is a new graduate, fresh out of University and keen on proving herself through dedication and hard work.

Tropwind Senior Sales Engineer Mohammed Harris visits FMC Measurement Solutions - Gas Products offices in the UK for product and maintenance training, enabling Tropwind to offer more support to existing FMC customers and to further promote the FMC range of products to new customers.

Tropwind principal Exploration Consultants Limited starts work with three customers,  providing Seismic Quality Control & Supervision on seismic crews operating in Syria.

All legal procedures completed for the registration of a new head office for Tropwind in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The completion of the registration process by Tropwind's Director Gerry Pridham in the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority Offices gives Tropwind an even better access to current and new markets, benefiting from the facilities provided by the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority regulations.

May 2005

Tropwind's Director Gerry Pridham and General Manager Fehmi Farra visit Heat Trace Limited offices and manufacturing plant in the UK for a facilities tour.  Product training, familiarization and commercial cooperation meetings resulted in a representative / distributorship agreement between Heat Trace Limited and Tropwind Trading Limited.
